Who We Are
We are a small non-profit, home based cat rescue group. Our cats are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. We do not have a shelter, but some of our cats and kittens are hosted at the PetSmart in Gainesville, VA.
Our Mission
The mission of Community Cats Rescue is to assist feral community cats. We provide daily maintenance (food and fresh water) and basic medical services – spay/neuter, vaccinations, along with emergency or life threatening medical care. We foster, socialize and find homes for adoptable kittens and cats and move cats that are in harm’s way in their current environment to barns, other outside facilities, or retirement sanctuaries.
Our Goals
Our goals are to rescue homeless, unwanted cats, provide them with critical medical care, and match them with a loving family along with managing the size and health of feral/stray cat colonies in the Northern Virginia area, focusing our efforts in low income neighborhoods, where resources are limited.
100% of donations and adoption fees are applied to our veterinary accounts, and to provide food, supplies and emergency care for the cats.
